JKA England Referees Course

The JKA England Referees Course is for those pursuing international qualifications. Please check with your Chief Instructor before registering, as spaces are limited. Referees must pre-register via JoinIn and review The Tournament Rules and Regulations before attending. The course includes a class-based session from 11 AM to 1 PM with Sensei Ohta and the Technical Committee, followed by a practical session from 2 PM to 4 PM. A break is scheduled from 1 PM to 2 PM. Squad members train from 1 PM to 4 PM with no payment required.

JKA Wales National Course & Dan Grading

National courses are essential for all JKA members, especially brown belts preparing for Shodan and black belts looking to refine their technique and kata. Kyu grades are welcome, with regular breaks provided, and younger students may leave during breaks if needed. Grading requires pre-registration via your Chief Instructor or by emailing technical@jka-england.org, with payment for examinations and dan registration accepted in cash only on the day. Shodan and Nidan candidates must have attended at least one other international, national, or regional course in the past year, while Sandan candidates must have completed all three days of an international course. Training is mandatory for those grading. Instruction is led by Ohta Sensei (7th Dan) alongside senior members of the Technical Committee. Course fee: £15.

Join us for a grading session with Sensei Spiros Ventouras (5th Dan) and Sensei Glyn Morgan (5th Dan). The day begins with a dedicated senior belt training session, followed by mixed belt training focusing on basics and kata to refine technique before grading.This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, whether you're grading or just looking to improve.The cost is £25 for training and grading, £15 for training only, and £5 for your new belt upon passing.We look forward to seeing you there!
